Sony Interactive Entertainment and Naughty Dog announced at The Game Awards their latest game, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, a thrilling sci-fi adventure set on a mysterious, isolated planet. The game is currently in development for the PS5.
Intergalactic introduces players to Jordan A. Mun, a skilled bounty hunter stranded on Sempiria, a planet shrouded in mystery. For centuries, communication with Sempiria has been cut off, and any attempts to uncover its secrets have vanished without a trace. Players will step into Jordan’s shoes, utilizing her abilities and cunning to navigate the treacherous terrain and unravel the planet’s enigmatic past.
“This game lives up to the Naughty Dog tradition of creating an emotional, character-driven epic journey,” said Neil Druckmann, Naughty Dog Studio Head. “Our narrative goals are rivaled only by our gameplay ambitions. This will be the deepest gameplay in Naughty Dog’s history, taking our learnings from our previous franchises and pushing them beyond anything we’ve ever done before.”
The game features the acting talents of Tati Gabrielle as Jordan, alongside a cast of yet-to-be-revealed characters. Adding to the immersive experience is an original score composed by renowned musicians Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.
While details about the story remain tightly under wraps, the announcement trailer offers a glimpse into the game’s captivating world and intriguing premise. Fans eager for more can follow Naughty Dog’s social media channels and official website for updates.
Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet promises to be an unforgettable journey into the unknown, pushing the boundaries of storytelling and gameplay. With its compelling protagonist, enigmatic setting, and talented development team, the game is poised to be another landmark title from Naughty Dog.
