If you’re a fan of Warhammer 40,000 then Necromunda: Underhive Wars might just be for you. Being set in the Warhammer universe, Necromunda focuses more on the crime underworld unlike the previous installments that take place in Warhammer 40,000 universe which focuses more on military glory.
Necromunda: Underhive is created by Rogue Factor and blends fast paced tactical combat with RPG elements and deep unit customization. A trailer has recently been released showcasing the dark and brutal world that Necromunda: Underhive is set in.
Here’s what we know:
A turn based tactical gameplay that pits you against rival gangs in brutal gunfights. Necromunda is a planet covered in poisonous wastes, forcing the population to live in Hive Cities, massive man made structured built over a 1000 years ago to serve a single purpose: to provide to the Imperium. In Hive Primus, the city is vertically impressive with the rich nobles living above the clouds in the Spire while the poor live in massive forgotten subterranean metropolis, the Underhive, where gangs fight for control against each other.
Take control of one of Necromunda’s fiercest gangs! First up, there’s Eschers, an all female gang whom are infamous for selling drug and chemical sales throughout the Underhive. Then there are the Goliaths, whom are hulking warriors that worship physical strength and rely on the use of strength-enhancing drugs to dominate the battlefield. Other gangs will be unveiled at a later date.
Necromunda: Underhive allows you to compose your gang accordingly depending on what kind of war you want to wage. Every fighter is perfectly customizable in both loadout and appearance and has access to career which can unlock skills, weapons, and other traits. If you win, your gang will become more powerful, but there will be consequences. In this game, death and injury are permanent, making each battle have lasting consequences.
For now, there is no official launch date for Necromunda: Underhive but is set for release for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
