NetherRealm Tournament Proposed by Ed Boon Including All Their Games

NetherRealm Studios Creative Director Ed Boon recently took to his personal social media account to propose a NetherRealm Tournament.

    Injustice

Boon proposed that after the COVID-19 pandemic, a NetherRealm Tournament with all of their games should be held (enter Shan Tsung quote here). He is highly interested in doing this especially including the games like Mortal Kombat 9, Injustice 1, Mortal Kombat X, Injustice 2, and Mortal Kombat 11.

After Covid… I'd love to do a NetherRealm Cup… including all of our most recent games.

    – MK9
    – Injustice 1
    – MKX
    – Injustice 2
    – MK11

If this does push through in the future, it would garner a lot of professionals that know the games. Unfortunately with the pandemic, this will be happen in some far-future. Boon really wants this to happen, which is why he wants to add a rollback code for MK9 and Injustice 1 so that it would be easier for online multiplayer.

But if Covid lasts for years, then we might have to add rollback code to MK9 and Injustice1 😉#GoodGamePeaceTFout

After several physical tournaments getting cancelled with the pandemic, this could be a welcome change for the fans who were disappointed.
