Nvidia has recently revealed the newest lineup of GPUs for this generation, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 and 4080.
Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 and 4080 Revealed
During the recent GTC Keynote by Founder and CEO Jensen Huang, it was finally revealed the newest RTX 40 series GPU units: the RTX 4090 and 4080. According to the official website, the new RTX 40 series GPUs are the fasters and most powerful cards Nvidia has to offer right now as it is said to be 2-3 times more powerful than the current RTX 3090ti. They are powered by the new ultra-efficient Nvidia Ada Lovelace architecture, which greatly improves performance and AI-powered graphics.
Ada Lovelace Architecture
The new RTX 40 series features the new Nvidia Ada Lovelace Architecture. It provides a revolutionary performance for ray tracing and AI-based neural graphics. It delivers a dramatically higher baseline of GPU performance. It features the Fourth-Gen Tensor Cores that increase the throughput by up to 5X, to 1.4 Tensor-petaFLOPS using the new FP8 Transformer Engine.
Everything at Twice the Power
Ada has the third-generation RT Cores that feature twice the ray-triangle intersection throughput, increasing RT-TFLOP performance by over 2x. It has the DLSS 3 which is a revolutionary breakthrough in AI-powered graphics that massively boosts performance.
