CEO Jensen Huang revealed the company’s highly anticipated next-generation graphic cards at NVIDIA’s keynote speech at CES 2025. After a short introduction starting from NVIDIA’s humble beginnings, the CEO revealed details on the RTX 5090, RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti, and RTX 5070, the new 50-series family of cards.
The NVIDIA Blackwell architecture features Fifth-Gen Tensor Cores, new streaming multiprocessors optimized for neural shaders, and Fourth-Gen Ray Tracing Cores. The series will support the new DLSS 4 and NVIDIA Reflex 2. According to NVIDIA, DLSS 4 brings the new Multi Frame Generation, Enhanced Ray Reconstruction, and Super Resolution, powered by GeForce RTX 50 series GPUs and fifth-generation Tensor Cores.
The CEO stated that each model will perform twice as fast as their respective predecessor, especially when leveraging the multi-frame generation featured in DLSS 4. In fact, the new series is so powerful that the RTX 5070, priced at $549, is said to offer performances closer, if not comparable, to the RTX 4090.
RTX 50 Series Prices
The RTX 5090 will be priced at $1999 and will go on sale starting on January 30, 2025, followed shortly by the RTX 5080 which will be priced at $999. The RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070, priced at $749 and $549 respectively, are set to launch in February of this year.
These are the quick specs for each card in the 50 series family.

On a final note, CEO Jensen Huang also revealed a new lineup of laptops powered by the 50 series. The CEO showed on stage a 50 series card and contrasted it with the laptop. He stated that the only way the 50 series managed to fit inside such a small case was thanks to AI. GeForce RTX 50 Series laptops boast up to 40% better battery life thanks to new Blackwell Max-Q innovations, doubling the performance of previous-generation models. They will be available to the public starting in March of this year.
