Starbreeze Studios has recently revealed new details about the upcoming new sequel Payday 3.

Payday 3 FAQ Page Opens Up

The studio has recently released new details on the official website of Payday 3. This is the sequel to the popular Payday games which will offer new game mechanics, new content, and more. This new FAQ page on the official website shares several new pieces of information that fans need to know before playing the actual game when it launches later this year.

Price, Game Setting, and Season Passes

According to the website, it has been confirmed that the game will be set in New York. The game is priced at $39.99 with Silver and Gold season pass offerings and DLCs. It has also been confirmed that Payday 2’s monetization scheme is returning to this new sequel.

Old DLCs Coming Back with New Paint

Old DLCs will be making a comeback like Heist, Tailor Pack, and Weapon Pack. Gold Season Pass will unlock access to the first years’ worth of DLC, including 4 DLCs of each type. The Silver Season Pass will have half of the content that the previous version had.

    New In-Game Currency

There will be a new in-game currency called PAYDAY Credits. This will be used to purchase extra cosmetic items that will not affect the gameplay and will be introduced into the game after it comes out. No details of the DLC yet, but they do look similar to the previous title.

New Engine and Full Crossplay Support

It has been confirmed that the game will be fully crossplay across all platforms and is being developed in Unreal Engine 4. With this new engine, most of the previous title issues have now been solved.

Payday 3 launches on September 21, 2023 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
