The merry band of co-conspirators returns for the third installment in the Payday series. Payday 3 continues the series tradition of high-stakes crimes against powerful enemies while introducing a number of changes that may or may be looked favorably upon by veterans of the first two games. (I really enjoyed my time playing the game, by the way.)
In this Payday 3 trophy guide, we’ll tell you what you need to be aware of as you do your platinum run for the game. Do bear in mind that Payday 3 is an online co-op game with you and three other conspirators. But there’s nothing preventing you from doing it solo.
There are 23 trophies for you to collect while embarking on your crime spree.
- 1 Platinum trophy
- 7 Gold trophies
- 8 Silver trophies
- 7 Bronze trophies

The trophy run for Payday 3 is an interesting one, to say the least. Most of the trophies require you to play levels in certain ways. From the onset of the grind, it looks like stealth is the way to go. I say grind because a huge part of one’s success in a Payday game lies in your ability to memorize maps and improvise on the fly. Not that it matters since messing up will most likely cause you and your conspirators to restart the level.
Making this even more interesting is the fact that the majority of trophies require you to play the levels on at least HARD difficulty. With a handful of trophies tied to the absurdly difficult Overkill difficulty. Each of the missions has a couple of trophies to unlock.
There are two trophies tied to the Rock The Cradle job. In this mission, you are tasked to infiltrate a nightclub’s VIP area to steal a crypto wallet. Stealth is usually the better option, at least until you’ve secured the wallet. Then, all bets are off.
To get the Party Crasher Bronze trophy, you’ll need to find a way to lure the bouncer away from his post and somehow get inside. Using the vents is a great way of accomplishing this task. Try to avoid getting an invitation from the manager’s office to guarantee the trophy. The Afterparty is best done after securing the wallet while you’re doing a sweep for any leftovers. Simply ring the alarms and survive four waves on Very Hard or above.
The No Rest For The Wicked job should be very familiar to old heads of the series. You’ll be robbing a bank for this one. But instead of using a laser drink to cut through the steel, you have the option of using thermite as your means of entry.
Both trophies require you to empty out the contents of the vault whether or not you’re dodging weapons fire is completely up to you. The Color Me Surprised Silver trophy is acquired by deactivating all dye packs attached to money stacks. As soon as you open the inner door, you have a brief window of time to get to all the stacks. You’ll need friends to do this one quickly. The Just… One… More… Bronze trophy should prove to be slightly easier as you’ll just need to open all safety deposit boxes.
The Dirty Ice mission sees your crew breaking into an illegal diamond smuggling ring posing as a small jewelry store. The Cleanin’ It Out Silver trophy requires you to secure all “cleaned” jewelry bags from the VIP showroom. If you’re doing stealth, you’ll need to take the manager hostage and force her to open the workshop where the jewels are cleaned. Smash and Grab is exactly what it means. Wear your mask, break in, and steal everything that’s not nailed down in the public showroom in less than 2 minutes after spawning. Be sure to inside the getaway copter with time to spare.
The Gold and Sharke job is a bank heist. The twist here is that the vault is between the ground floor and the upper floor. To get the The Hard Way Silver trophy, you just need to hack one of the cell phones on the office desks of the HR department. Try not to access the computer, as your handler suggested. It might cost you the trophy. Accessing the vault for the Closing the Account Silver trophy requires you to know the combination of a dual lock as well as shutting down laser tripwires. Once you’ve opened the vault, it is simply a case of going back and forth to fully remove all the contents.
Roadrage is a job that sees the crew ambushing an armored truck that’s crossing a bridge that’s undergoing some construction work. You get the Traffic Control for escorting the truck while preventing the police from getting close to the truck. This is a more delicate mission than it seems as there’s not much cover and enemies attack in waves from all sides. Complicating matters is the presence of construction workers. To get the Crowd Control Gold trophy, you’ll need to prevent any civilians from leaving the area. That means zip-tying them and keeping them away from the cops. These trophies require a lot of coordination… and big guns.
The 99 Boxes job is one of the trickier missions in the current set. Your team is sent to secure some sensitive tech inside a warehouse complex. The catch is that the tech becomes useless if it isn’t stored in zero temperatures. You get the Tech Mogul Silver trophy for transporting the devices to the getaway truck without allowing the value to degrade. (aka don’t let the bar drop down to zero.) If you can’t help yourself and have to get everything inside the shipping containers, you can have a friend raid the yard for any valuables. The No Stone Unturned Gold trophy is your reward. You’ll see how many bags are in the level on the post-level screen.
The hardest thing about the Under the Surphaze job is the fact that every gallery is protected by its own web of laser alarms. You’ll need to weave past them all as gracefully as Catwoman until you find the lever that deactivates the grid. It doesn’t get easier since other galleries don’t allow you to touch the floor without triggering an alarm. You can do both the True Connoisseur and Art Critic Gold trophies at the same time. Provided the place doesn’t go into lockdown.
The Touch The Sky job takes place in an extravagant penthouse suite crawling with guards left and right. The hardest part is suppressing the urge to kill guards and ruining your chances of getting the Spec Ops Gold trophy. Though I’ve there are some blind spots where guards won’t dare look at. Either way, the vents are the keys to success here. You have the option of tying up one guard for the Insurance Policy Bronze trophy. But you’ll need to answer the radio once to avoid suspicion.
The rest of the trophies like the mask and mods ones, you can get organically as you play the game and mess around with things. The turret, on the other hand, is a support item you can set up during a firefight.
And that’s everything I have for this Payday 3 trophy guide. Hopefully, it’s been useful for you in some shape or form. Good hunting, trophy hunters. Don’t worry if you don’t get results right away. Trial and error is the name of the game for this trophy run. You’ll get it eventually if you persist long enough.
Payday 3 is out now on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store).
