Persona 4 Golden Steam Deck Verified Announced

Valve has made it official that popular JRPG Persona 4 Golden is now Steam Deck verified.

According to Twitter user Wario64, the game is now verified for Steam Deck. If the game is verified for the PC handheld, it would mean all of its functionality is accessible when using the default controller configuration. There will not be an issue when playing the game at all, which means it is very compatible with it.

Just like what is said on the image that Wario64 shared, getting verified also means several other things. It will show Steam Deck controller icons instead of Xbox or PlayStation ones. It will also have its in-game interface text quite legible on the Steam Deck. Lastly, the game’s default graphics configuration performs really well on the PC handheld. It would have only a few or at best, no issues at all while playing.

This will be the first Atlus game that got verified by Steam Deck. Other titles like Catherine Classic, Persona 5 Strikers, and Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne HD Remaster are still unsupported. Valve could still be testing these titles.

There are, however, several SEGA titles that are already supported by Steam Deck. Some of them are Bayonetta, Sonic Mania, Valkyria Chronicles, Valkyria Chronicles 4 Complete Edition, Yakuza 0, and more.

Persona 4 Golden is now available on PC and PS Vita.
