Kinetic Games has recently announced that Phasmophobia delayed one console after a fire incident that happened at the office of the developers.
According to Kinetic Games, the fire happened in the studio’s office building. The result was to unfortunately delay the console launch.
“First and foremost, we’d like to thank you all for your support and that you are just as excited as we are for the console release,” read a message posted to the game’s official Twitter account. “Due to a recent fire incident in our office building, and unpredicted development issues, our ability to test and develop has been significantly impacted.”
“After careful consideration, we have made the tough decision to delay the console release, initially set for August, while we get everything sorted,” continued the post. “We are now aiming for a special launch during the week leading up to Halloween this October.”
Fans of Phasmophobia might have to wait a little bit longer as the launch might be happening this coming October 2023. Aside from getting forced to launch at that time due to the fire, it also gives them a bit of popularity since it is launching in the season of Halloween. Perfect timing, in a way.
Phasmophobia is now available on PC and consoles are coming in October 2023.
