There is a way to play PlayStation 5 titles with the DualShock 4 controller, but it is kind of a roundabout method.
According to YouTuber Kevin Kenison, players can use the DS4 controller to play PS5 games via the next-gen console’s remote play function. It will not be a direct use to the PS5, it does technically make players play with PS5 titles. They can do it via a tablet, smartphone, or any other device that supports the feature.
Players only need to go to the Setting Menu on the PS5 and enable the option for remote play. Start up the Remote Play app on the other device, which will detect the PS5 right away. To have a smooth experience, they will need to have a great WiFi connection with the best download and upload speeds.
The weird thing about this is that the PS5 remote play only supports the following controllers: DualSense, DS4, and the touchscreen controls on the device. No other controllers would work even though it is supposed to do that.
PlayStation 5 is now available worldwide.
