A Japanese media outlet has reported the new sales figures of the next-gen consoles PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in Japan.
The one leading on the race for higher sales is definitely for Sony Interactive Entertainment. According to Famitsu, the PS5 has sold about 118,000 units in Japan. The Xbox Series X/S on the other hand only sold 21,000 units for both next-gen consoles. They also revealed that the standard version of the PS5 composed 88 percent of those sales while only 12 percent for the digital edition.
Famitsu revealed that the Xbox Series X and S were sold out at most retail stores. Some have even had to hold lottery sales to make it fair.
The Japanese media outlet also revealed the top-selling titles of the PS5. On the number 1 spot is Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales with 18,640 units. This is followed by Demon’s Souls with only a slight difference of 18,607 units.
PlayStation 5 is now available in Japan, US, and a few select countries. After midnight tonight, it will be coming to the rest of the world.
