The PlayStation Classics have been spotted on the PlayStation Network Asia with their own pricing.
PlayStation Classics Spotted
Update: More titles got added.
There have been reports of sightings of PS Classics now available for purchase on Asian markets. Here at Sirus Gaming, it has been confirmed in Singapore Asia that there are indeed PS Classic titles now available for purchase separately. Aside from them redeemable for free if a PS Plus subscriber opted for the PS Plus Premium/Deluxe tier, it seems the classic titles will be sold individually with their own pricings.
Currently, there are three titles available for purchase on PSN Singapore Asia. For some reason, it only has three PS Classic titles while others report there are four titles being sold.
- Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee (PS1 Emulation) – Singapore Dollars (SGD) 6.90
- Worms Armageddon (PS1 Emulation) – SGD 12.90
- Worms World Party (PS1 Emulation) – SGD 6.90
- Wild Arms (English) – SGD 12.90
- Tekken 2 (English) – PS Plus Deluxe Only
- Syphon Filter (English) – SGD 12.90
- Mr. Driller (English) – PS Plus Deluxe Only
- Kurushi (IQ Intelligent Qube) (English) – SGD 12.90
- Everybody’s Golf (English) – SGD 12.90
- echochrome (English) – SGD 12.90
- Disney Pixar Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue! – SGD 12.90
- Ape Escape (English) – SGD 12.90
Others report Ridge Racer 2 is also available for purchase, but the PSN Store Singapore Asia does not have it listed. The cheapest of the three titles is SGD 6.90 which is roughly only $5 for US. It could be different for PSN US or EU later on.
New Settings to Customize
Aside from the listings, the games are also going to have some interesting settings to fiddle with. This is from Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee:
Experience Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee originally released on the PlayStation console, enhanced with up-rendering, rewind, quick save, and custom video filters.
Players can experience enhanced rendering for its visuals, can rewind the game story, do quick save/load, and have custom video filters to get that classic CRT TV screen look.
PlayStation Classics can now be purchased on PSN Asia and the new tiers will be available possibly by the end of the tomorrow after all accounts have been transferred to the new tiers.
