Sony Interactive Entertainment has recently announced the official PlayStation Portal Remote Player which will launch later this year.

    PlayStation Portal Remote Player Detailed

Project Q now has an official name: PlayStation Portal remote player, which is PlayStation’s first Remote Play dedicated device. This will bring the PS5 experience to the palm of their hand.

According to a recent post on the PlayStation Blog, the PlayStation Portal has key features of the DualSense wireless controller. It includes adaptive triggers and haptic feedback. It has a vibrant 8-inch LCD screen that is capable of 1080p resolution at 60fps, providing a high-definition visual experience.

PlayStation Portal connects remotely to the PS5 over Wi-Fi, so players can jump from playing on the PS5 to PlayStation Portal. It can play supported games that are installed on the PS5 console and use the DualSense controller. It has a 3.5mm audio jack for wired audio. PS VR2 games will need a headset and games that are streamed via PS Plus Premium’s cloud streaming are not supported.

PlayStation Portal remote player launches later this year for $199.99 USD. More details will be released later when pre-orders start.

Pulse Elite Wireless Headset and Pulse Explore Wireless Earbuds

    • Pulse Elite is the new wireless headset that offers lossless audio and comes with a retractable boom mic and AI-enhanced noise rejection capable of filtering background sounds. A charging hanger is also included with the product for a convenient charging and storage option.
    • Pulse Explore is the first set of wireless earbuds, providing a premium portable audio experience with dual microphones and AI-enhanced noise rejection capable of filtering background sounds. It also offers lossless audio and comes with a charging case.

Both have custom-designed planar magnetic drivers. Pulse Explore is the first wireless earbuds to use planar magnetic driver technology for mass consumers. The Pulse Elite costs $149.99 USD while the Pulse Explore costs $199.99 USD. Pre-orders will be announced soon.

Both Pulse Elite and Pulse Explore connect directly with the PlayStation Portal via the new wireless audio technology, PlayStation Link. It offers low latency, lossless audio, and easy switching between multiple PlayStation hosts such as PS5 with the USB adapter and PlayStation Portal. When using the Pulse Elite and Pulse Explore with PS5, the USB adapter that is included with each headset and earbuds is required for PlayStation Link. The adapter will be sold separately as a standalone item and can be used on PC and Mac.
