Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC Rumors Claim New Pokémon Types and More

New rumors about Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC claim new Pokémon types will be introduced.

Are the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC Rumors True?

Game Freak, creators of Pokémon, have not made any official statements to confirm or deny these rumors and leaks as of yet. However, there is a trail of evidence that could prove them otherwise. The only thing needed is the official confirmation.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC Rumors Reveal Ultra Beasts?!

Various rumors about new Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLCs have been circling lately on the internet. One of them claims that a previous type of Pokémon will be introduced soon to the latest titles. One source states the future DLC will introduce the Ultra Beasts, which were first revealed in the previous two titles, Pokémon Sun and Moon.

A Pokemon Sun and Moon Ultra Beast

Warning! The next few sentences are spoilers for those who have not completed the story of the two games. You have been warned.

After completing the entire Pokédex, which was possible when players complete the whole game, a Beast Ball will be rewarded. This item has a specific use: to capture Ultra Beasts. Since it exists in this game, there is a HUGE chance that Ultra Beasts will come to the game via updates, DLCs, or a new expansion.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC Suggest New Paradox Pokémon?!

Another rumor suggests new Paradox Pokémon will be added later on. Again, spoilers, for those who have not completed the game yet, these powerful Pokémon can only be accessible in Area Zero, which can be unlocked after completing the main game and the credits have rolled. These are Pokémon that are special ancient and future versions of existing Pokémon in the game.

Data miners have already found evidence before the two games launched that there could be a chance that Paradox Suicune and Virizion will be added later. Other leakers claim that these Pokémons were actually dropped from the game, there is a chance they could be added later as DLC. The code is already there, why not use it?

Data Mine Reveals Two Unusable Listed Moves

This month’s data mine corroborates this new information that got leaked months before. It was revealed that there are currently two listed moves for certain Pokémon that are not usable. These are the Hydro Stream and Psyblade with the prior for Paradox Suicune and the latter for Paradox Virizion.

When Could the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC Get Released?

No word yet on Game Freak to officially confirm these rumors and leaks, but there is a pattern that started with Pokémon Sword and Shield.

Since Pokémon Scarlet and Violet launched in November 2022, it follows the previous launch of Pokémon Sword and Shield which was also in the month of November with their expansions released two months later, which was in January. Now if this pattern will be followed, there could be a new announcement from Game Freak about this possible new expansion for the latest titles of Pokémon.

The expansions for Pokémon Sword and Shield got released in June 2020 though so it might take a while for this year’s Pokémon games as well.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are now available exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
