Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC Trailer Features Previous Starters

The Pokémon Company has recently released a new Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC trailer that finally confirmed that all previous starters will be included.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC Trailer Previous Starters Confirmed

During the Pokémon World Championships 2023, a new trailer was shown yesterday confirming which starters will be returning in The Indigo Disk. It turns out all 24 previous starter Pokémon were revealed. They will be included in the second part of the Hidden Treasure of Area Zero expansion.

“Past first partner Pokémon are appearing in spades,” the trailer states. This suggests that the starter Pokémon can be encountered and caught in the wild, which should be good for fans who like to collect the best versions of the starters.

Terastallized Versions of Previous Gen Pokémon

The trailer also showcased other forms of the starters aside from the regular versions like the Terastallized versions of Venusaur, Primarina, and Blaziken. This will make it the first time that all starters from the previous gen can be caught in the game series rather than just getting them via a Tera Raid or breeding and trading.

    Pokémon Hom Compatible

To make it all better, the starters will be compatible with Pokémon Home once the DLC releases. This will mean that all these that got caught in previous games can be transferrable to Scarlet and Violet.

    Shaymin is Coming

The trailer has also confirmed that the mythical Pokémon Shaymin will be coming. The Official Twitter account of Pokémon showed pictures of the returning starters plus Shaymin.

The Teal Mask expansion launches on September 13, 2023 but The Indigo Mask still has no release date yet. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are now available exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
