Sony Interactive Entertainment has now released the PS5 system update today and it finally crushes a very annoying display issue.
PS5 software update version 23.01-07.01.01 was recently released and it fixes the Game Library display issue. That is the only fix apparently from the patch notes on the official website. The fix is quite helpful though as many players were confused when they would browse their Game Library and the display was different from what the description says. This caused a little mayhem for some players like mistakenly deleting content that they were not intending, and some others related to the same issue.
Version: 23.01-07.01.01
- An issue in Game Library where content was displayed incorrectly under certain conditions was resolved.
The previous update fixed an issue with its Discord voice feature, which was also super helpful as it has become huge when it got implemented. It also introduced the Variable Refresh Rate support for displays that support 1440p resolution.
Hopefully, more fixes are coming soon and maybe new features that could improve quality of life for PS5 players.
