Psychonauts 2 is out now and it is available on many platforms, but players want to know which ones it will be on. It is a fact that it will not be available on all platforms, but it will be on major ones. As part of the Psychonauts 2 full guide, here are the platforms it will be released on.
Is Psychonauts 2 available on Nintendo Switch?
Psychonauts 2 launched on August 25, and it is now available on several platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. PS5 players will be able to play the game via backwards compatibility feature and can unlock 60 FPS with this. Plus, it was available on Xbox Game Pass owners on day one.
Even though this game was published by Xbox Game Studios, it was released on the PlayStation platform, which was a good thing. It does not have a native PS5 release, but at least it can still be played. Playing on next-gen consoles though offers some interesting perks like fast load times, 60 FPS, and beautiful visuals due to high resolutions.
The game is available on all playable platforms except for one: Nintendo Switch. The hybrid console might be able to handle it if it was ported, but game studio Double Fine did not mention anything about a port on Nintendo’s latest platform. The original game was not released on any Nintendo platforms as well and was only available on Xbox, PS2, and PC.
Double Fine did not say that it will not ever have a Nintendo Switch version though. It could still be coming in the future and maybe in discussion, but for now, it is the only exception.
