Insomniac Games has recently revealed that Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart PC specifications reveal the truth about requiring SSD to run the game.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart PC Specifications Confirm Truth
Previously, it was revealed by Insomniac Games on its PC specifications that the upcoming video game Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart will need an SSD in order to function. The company, however, did not specify that the game will actually need an SSD to function properly, it was assumed to be so. The new me wines. While it was said that the game is recommended to have SSD, the developers did not say it will need at least to be like that. That has now changed.
Irony from Insomniac from Early Days
An old video by Insomniac’s Creative Director Marcus Smith said that the game’s rift-traveling mechanic was impossible on previous systems.
“Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is a game that utilizes dimensions and dimensional rifts, and that would not have been possible without the Solid State Drive of the PlayStation 5,” Smith stated.
“The SSD is screamingly fast. It allows us to build worlds and project players from one place to another in near instantaneous speeds. It is an unbelievable game changer in terms of we can now do gameplay where you’re in one world, and the next moment you’re in another.
“We’re loading up levels that happen so quickly and in the action that you don’t even imagine that this is something that we couldn’t do before because it feels so natural.”
Full PC Specifications Revealed
Today, Nixxes and Insomniac reveal in a post that was taken down (for some reason) the full PC specifications of the game. Thankfully, Resetera has a copy of the image that includes the specifications. Check them out below:
