The huge leak of documents from Xbox has revealed some very interesting news about a Red Dead Redemption 2 next-gen version.
Fans of Red Dead Redemption, rejoice! You might just be able to enjoy a new version of your favorite title of the series in upgraded visuals and more. According to the leaked Xbox documents via Reddit, an email chain between Microsoft executives dated May 2022 has revealed a list of third-party games as possible day-and-date Game Pass titles. One of those titles is Red Dead Redemption but it has a note at the end: “D&D for gen9”. It was expected to be released in the second quarter of its 2023 financial year which is October to December 2022, but nothing has been announced, sadly.
For those who do not know, Gen9 means the ninth generation of consoles which includes the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Rockstar has not made any announcements of a gen9 version of RDR2 despite many fans wishing for it to happen. Red Dead Redemption, the original game, got the PS4 treatment, so why not next-gen for its sequel? Rockstar has not made any statement to confirm or deny these new leaks.
