CAPCOM has recently revealed the sales number of Resident Evil 4 Remake a few days after its launch and it looks quite bountiful already.
According to the official website of CAPCOM, Resident Evil 4 Remake has now surpassed 3 million copies in just two days since it launched worldwide. It was revealed that this includes both physical and digital versions as well as sales from all four platforms it is available. This might not have sold more than the original, but it is already slowly getting there. Also, it has achieved 3 million sales in just two days while the original did it after a year.
CAPCOM says that it was due to the successful demo and the positive online reviews that Resident Evil 4 Remake had such success after it launched. The game has the same story but its visuals, gameplay, and engine have been greatly improved.
According to records, the total lifetime sales of the original game were 10.2 million units. The remake has now sold more copies than the initial GameCube and PS2 releases.
Resident Evil 4 Remake is out now on PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
