Resident Evil 4 Remake Demo Progress – Does it Carry Over?

With a close encounter with Dr. Salvador, you could be asking if your demo progress from the Resident Evil 4 remake Chainsaw demo carries over or if you’ll have to fight him again. The iconic village scene where Leon has to dodge and fight against so many Ganados is ever-present in the demo, which has players questioning whether they get something from surviving the ordeal. Here’s a guide that shows you if anything carries over from your Resident Evil 4 Remake demo progress.

Does the Resident Evil 4 Remake Demo progress carry over to the main game?

The Resident Evil 4 Remake Chainsaw demo progress will not carry over to the main game. Any story progress, weapons found, and resources collected will be gone and you’ll have to earn them again.

There is no way to save progress in the Resident Evil 4 Remake demo. You can find a typewriter just before the village section, but it’s been disabled. Before the Chainsaw demo begins, the game gives you a warning that several features have been disabled due to the game still being under development.

The Resident Evil 4 Remake Chainsaw demo only takes about 15 minutes to complete, so you’re not losing much progress. It’s more or less there to convince you that the game is worth buying. No need to worry about your Resident Evil 4 Remake demo setting you back for too long.

Resident Evil 4 Remake Does Demo Progress

The Resident Evil 4 legacy is already legendary enough, but the Chainsaw Demo only further fanned people’s excitement for the remake releasing on March 24, 2023. You can still play the demo right now to get a taste of the Resident Evil 4 Remake but keep in mind that none of your demo progress will be carried over.

The demo does give you an idea of how different the mechanics are from the original. Leon’s ability to crouch, sneak up on enemies, and move while shooting are big game changers. If you’re up for the challenge, you can even unlock Mad Chainsaw mode, which makes the Resident Evil 4 Remake much harder.

We hope this answers if you can carry the Resident Evil Remake demo progress.
