Here’s a guide showing you all the Resident Evil 4 Remake puzzle solutions that you’ll encounter in-between the game’s chapters. You’ll have to solve these puzzles in order to proceed, as many of them often block your way, although some are optional for getting unique items and other collectibles. If you’re stuck on a puzzle and need to proceed, here are the spoiler-free solutions for the specific puzzle that’s troubling you.

All Resident Evil 4 Remake Puzzle Solutions
Chapter 2: Crystal Marble Puzzle
Entering the Village Chief’s manor, go beyond the dining room and interact with the closet. The code to the lock is Crop, Pig, and then Baby. Inputting these will open the closet, and you can pick up the Crystal Marble.
Go upstairs and put the Crystal Marble in the empty slot on the door. Spin the marble until it matches the symbol on the back.
Chapter 4: Lake Murals Puzzle
Around the lake will be two locked doors that have a pedestal with icons on them. Press the icons, which you can find on symbols painted around the cave.
Entering the Small Cave shrine, enter the combination on the door in any order as shown in the picture above. This opens the door to the mural, where you can get the Blasphemer’s Head. This is also where you get a hexagonal piece for one of the puzzles on this list.
Entering the Large Cave Shrine, enter the combination on the door in the exact order as the picture above. This gets you the Apostate’s Head.
Chapter 4: Hexagon Disc Puzzle
Before you’re able to solve the puzzle, you’ll need to start collecting the three hexagonal pieces scattered within the lake area.
The first hexagonal piece is found right across the Merchant.
The second hexagonal piece is north of the Fish Farm. You’ll have to descend into the water and go below the bridge to open the chest that has it.
The last piece is in the Small Cave Shrine where you’ll have to solve the Lake Stone Dias to get. You can refer to the previous puzzle solution for help.
Once you have all three, go to the stone pedestal and insert the pieces. This is where things get complicated to explain because there isn’t just one solution. It will be different for each save. This means that reloading your saved file will completely reset the solution. What you need to do is keep spinning the hexagons until it forms the picture above.
You can only move three of the seven hexagons at one time. So you’ll need a keen eye to arrange them in the right order. This puzzle isn’t mandatory as it opens the door that gets you the Depraved Idol which is worth 15,000 Pesetas at the Merchant.
Chapter 4: Church Dial Window Puzzle
After entering the Church, go to the right and open the cabinet drawers. This will get you the Blue Dial. Now go to the altar and look left. You should see a lever you can pull down. Once you’ve interacted with it, the lights of the Church will dim and the altar will open to reveal two dials, green and red, with one missing.
Put the blue dial on the alter and then turn the dials until they fill out all the holes on the window that has the cult’s symbol. This will open a gate leading to a ladder.
Chapter 7: Sword Puzzle
In the Treasury of the castle, there are four types of swords on the images on the walls that you need to rearrange. You can pick all three in the beginning, but one of them is missing. You’ll have to find it.
Ring the lever on the side and then shoot the icons on the other side of the bars. Once the viper and eagle icons to lift the bars. You can now pick the Bloodied Sword. Go back to the images where the other swords are and start rearranging them in order.
The correct order of the swords are Iron, Golden, Bloody, and Rusted respectively from left to right.
Chapter 8: Lithographic Stone Puzzle
In the Bindery, grab all the Lithographic stones. One is on top of the books. One is behind a glass casing. One is beneath the bookshelf near the door.
Arrange them the same way as the photos above. You can flip the Lithographic stones over to match the colors of the symbols next to them.
Chapter 9: Dining Hall Puzzle
The Dining Hall puzzle solution requires the Leon and Ashely sit on the right seats on two separate tables. Have Ashely sit at the top right chair on the first table nearest to the entrance. Then sit to the top left chair on the further table to the entrance and ring the bell. You can now go and get the Serpent head.
Chapter 9: Grandfather Clock Puzzle
As Ashley, you just have to arrange the clock to the right time. What time it is depends on your difficulty. On Assisted/Standard modes, the puzzle solution is 11:04. On Professional/Hardcore, the solution is 7:00. This opens the secret passage for you to go through.
Chapter 13-14: Electric Lock Terminal Puzzle
There are Electric Lock terminals in the Dissection, Freezer, and Waste Disposal rooms. You have to keep spinning the pathways until the power has a clear route to the electrical symbols displayed on the screen.
You first have to restore power in the Electric Lock in the Dissection Room. This will power up the Freezer and Waste Disposal rooms for you to use. Only the Waste Disposal is really needed to continue with the campaign, however solving the Freezer Electric Lock terminal will give you the LE 5 submachinegun.
The Electric Lock puzzles are different depending on your difficulty. The Professional/Hardcore difficulty modes have more difficult patterns compared to the Assisted/Standard ones.
