CAPCOM has confirmed the Resident Evil Village free DLC is coming soon.
In a recent annual report for 2021 that was published by CAPCOM, the game company shared what they have accomplished this year and its future. A Creative Report section led by Executive Corporate Officer Yoichi Egawa confirmed that the popular video game Resident Evil Village will be getting more support in the near future with a new free additional DLC.
Since it has been confirmed a while ago that there will be story-based DLCs that CAPCOM will launch sometime, this could also mean that there will be item-based DLC packs coming soon. Either of those two will become free to download and the other will be payable. Nothing officially confirmed of these as of yet, but there is a high chance of this scenario happening. Otherwise, if they are really going to give away story-based DLCs for free then good on them.
The previous title, Resident Evil 7 Biohazard had this as well, story-based DLCs, where one of it was free to download while the others were purchasable. It extended to story and also shared another side, another perspective from a familiar character. This could happen on RE Village with Chris Redfield again aside from his part during near the end of the story. Nothing confirmed, but again, another scenario that is highly possible.
Resident Evil Village is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
