Game company CAPCOM has officially confirmed the release date of upcoming video game Resident Evil Village.

The upcoming new title of the RE series will be released on May 7, 2021. CAPCOM also announced that it will be launched on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One aside from PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. PS4 versions can be upgraded to PS5 versions in digital form for free. The Xbox One version can be upgraded to Xbox Series X/S via Smart Delivery.
The showcase revealed preview of the gameplay mechanics of the upcoming title like weapons, items, enemies, and more. So far, it is the first-person shooter version of the classic RE games with amazing visuals.
CAPCOM also confirmed that there is a playable demo available on PS5 and can be downloaded right now. Other platforms will have their own demos later on. Resident Evil Re:Verse was also officially confirmed by CAPCOM as a multiplayer video game and will be free to download for those who will purchase RE Village.
Pre-orders of the game are now available as well.
Resident Evil Village will launch on May 7, 2021 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam.
