Saints Row delayed to a later date according to Volition Chief Creative Officer Jim Boone in a new announcement.
Boone revealed that upcoming video game Saints Row will not be released on the original date of February 25, 2022, but instead it will now be on its new worldwide release on August 26, 2022.
According to Boone, the delay was decided because the team wanted to meet the standards that everyone would approve. If they release the game on the original date, it would not be the one that everyone wanted. They are now doing some fine tuning and guarantees that there will not be much change in the game outside of overall quality and polish.
Boone goes on that the team has underestimated the impact of the global pandemic to their schedule, but they have adapted quite well working from home and have been productive. Still, the game’s size and scope made them decide to delay it to a later date next year.
The CCO assured that this will be the biggest and best Saints Row game they have ever made. And in order to assure the quality, they have settled to give it a lot of time for overall polish.
Saints Row will now launch worldwide on August 26, 2022 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
