SEGA and NieR series creator Yoko Taro have recently revealed that they will formally announce the new game they are currently working on.
There was a new teaser trailer was shared online on SEGA’s YouTube channel. Initially, the incorrect version of the video was uploaded, which accidentally revealed interesting details about the upcoming game. This included the involvement of Yoko Taro, the maker of the NieR series. It was revealed that the title of the mysterious upcoming game is likely called 404 Game RE:SET.
Since then, the correct version of the trailer was released. It will be officially announced on February 10, 2023 at 8 PM Japan Time.
The new teaser trailer showed a live-action video where it starts with a smartphone falling on the ground. When it touches the ground, the phone’s entire home screen is taken over by SEGA logos and shows two messages in Japanese: “Create a bright future” and “SEGA”. The ground gets digitized and it starts with Tokyo then in other cities all over the world like Paris, New York, Taipei, and more. After various cutscenes, it then shows the world where the lights from the cities in the light turn from yellow to blue due to the digitization by SEGA.
The last message that shows on the phone says “We have something to announce to the people on February 10, 2023 at 8:00 PM Japan Time.
Everything is still secret, but if the accidental reveals was true then this new game is called 404 Game RE:SET and might be for mobile devices.
