Senua’s Saga Hellblade 2 Gameplay Video Confirmed Captured In-Engine

Ninja Theory Audio Director David Garcia has recently confirmed that the Senua’s Saga Hellblade 2 gameplay reveal that everyone saw at The Game Awards 2021 was captured in-engine.

According to Garcia, the gameplay trailer was all captured in-engine and in real time. It confirms that it was not CGI at all and all of content we are seeing in the trailer was from the game engine itself. This shows Hellblade 2 will have upgraded visuals compared to the original game.

Aside from that, Garcia shared that almost all 3D sounds that were used were Project Acoustics and Spatial Audio, which he praised a lot as “incredible technologies.” He also mentions their collaboration with Heilung in remixing the music and sound in the game.

A lot of fans of the original game have only praises for the upcoming sequel as they were very impressed with the gameplay trailer.

Senua’s Saga Hellblade 2 will launch on Xbox Series X/S, and PC. No details yet on when it will be released, but it is possible it will be released at least in 2022.
