Game company Microsoft recently opened the pre-orders of Shenmue I & II HD Remaster, which was way ahead of game publisher SEGA.

Larry Major Nelson Hryb announced the HD remaster on his own blog and interestingly, it has the release date. The game will launch this coming Aug. 21, but it will unlock on Aug. 20 at 9 PM PDT for those who live on the West Coast. Another interesting point is that Microsoft seems to have not noticed that SEGA has not officially announced the release date yet.
The game is the creation of Yu Suzuki, who is also working on the third sequel of the series, Shenmue III, but without the help of SEGA. Aside from the Xbox One release, the HD remaster will launch on PlayStation 4 and PC as well.
