Rebellion recently spoke to media outlet Half-Glass Gaming talking about their latest title Sniper Elite 5 and some interesting information.
The game studio was answering a responding to a question about the biggest challenge that they faced when they launched Sniper Elite 5 and it was how they were going to released it on both the last gen and new-gen, and PC. They revealed that there was a very big gap in power between two generations and they had to change things up a bit so everyone could enjoy.
The solution the studio made to make it work was to scale the game on all platforms so they would perform well. According to them, the PS5 and Xbox Series X were able to play the game at a resolution up to 4K and has faster loading times. Xbox Series S was able to start up the game at 60 fps but has a drawback of only having 1440p resolution only. Lastly, the PS4 and Xbox One versions were only capped at 30fps but they did not mention the resolution.
So when you boot up the game on day one, expect to have these resolutions and frame speeds for your platforms.
Sniper Elite 5 launches on May 26, 2022. It will be available on PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
