The Sonic Team Boss Takashi Iizuka recently spoke in an interview talking about Sonic Frontiers especially its gameplay that many fans are worried about.
Sonic Frontiers Concerns from Fans
Many fans of Sonic have recently posted concerns about the recent Sonic Frontiers gameplay trailers that were shown last week. They criticized it due to its feeling of an empty world, the gameplay looked quite different, and in summary, it just did not feel looked polish according to them. They were worried that when it launches, it will the same as well. They even petitioned for the game to be delayed to next year to get it more polish.
Sonic Team Boss Responds
Iizuka then responded to the criticism saying, “It’s not really that surprising. We do realize everyone is just kind of reacting to the videos that they saw, and because they don’t understand what this new gameplay is they’re kind of comparing it to other games that they already know.”
“Frontiers is in development now, and actually we’ve been doing a lot of playtesting with our target audience, who would be in that demographic of someone who’d play a Sonic game and enjoy it,” he continued.
Internal Reviews Score Big
Iizuka claims that the game is currently doing well with internal reviews. He says that the game is already gaining scores of 80-90 out of 100. He is also confident that the game will still launch within this year due to that.
Sonic Frontiers will launch this year. It will be available on PC, PS4, SP5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
