Game developer Endnight Games have recently revealed that Sons of the Forest has now sold over 2 million copies in just the first 24 hours of early access.
The developers thanked the fans for joining the Early Access of the game and revealed the number of sales, which resulted in just the first day. They are now teasing the players about what they have in store in the coming weeks.
According to the website SteamDB, the survival game Sons of the Forest has now joined the top 20 list of highest all-time peak players. It has now ranked fifth place on Steam in just a day, which easily defeated recent triple A titles like Warzone 2.0, and Hogwarts Legacy.
The developers revealed that the game is planned to be in early access for around 6 to 8 months only, but this could change depending on the reception. They are also factoring in if they have already made the best version of the game for their departure for Early Access.
“Sent to find a missing billionaire on a remote island, you find yourself in a cannibal-infested hellscape. Craft, build, and struggle to survive, alone or with friends, in this terrifying new open-world survival horror simulator,” says the description on Steam.
