Starfield File Size Officially Revealed Ahead of Launch

Bethesda has officially revealed the Starfield installation file size.

    Starfield File Size Revealed

On the official Xbox website, it has been revealed that the upcoming video game Starfield will need at least 125 GB of storage space. Installing the game on an Xbox Series S will already fill up a fifth of space of its storage space, which could lead to some problems. Players who own some of the most popular games with very large file sizes might have to delete some of their favorites to make way for this upcoming title. It would also be a good idea to invest in buying a 1-2 TB memory card to expand the storage of their consoles.

    Preload Early

Players who have already pre-ordered the game will also have the benefit of preloading the game early, which is rather common these days for upcoming big games. This also helps players download the game bit by bit before the official launch so they will not have to wait long when it releases on day one.

    Fans Not Intimidated by Size

The file size does not intimidate the fans of Bethesda though and would welcome this because it is a sign that this game will be full of content to explore. It has also been planned to have multiple DLCs and modders have been promised to make their mods compatible with it once it launches.

Starfield launches on September 6, 2023 on PC and Xbox Series X/S.
