Bethesda has recently detailed the Starfield first update and its plans for new features that are set for future patches.
Starfield First Update Highlights
The first update includes various performance and stability improvements plus several quest fixes. It also has improved stability related to installations for the Xbox Series X/S. Some of the quest fixes include fixing an issue with the All That Money Can Buy quest and more.
Top Community Requested Features
Bethesda confirms that the first update is just a small hotfix that targets a few top issues that the developers have spotted, but they have plans for future new content and support. Check out the top community requested features:
- Brightness and Contrast controls
- HDR Calibration Menu
- FOV Slider
- Nvidia DLSS Support (PC)
- 32:9 Ultrawide Monitor Support (PC)
- Eat button for food!
Driver Support
The team is also working closely with Nvidia, AMD and Intel on driver support, and each update will include stability and performance improvements. Built-in mod support is being worked on too across all platforms, which will be similar to Skyrim and Fallout 4. The full support is being planned to launch early next year.
