Super Mario Bros Movie Gets Delayed

The movie adaptation now has an official theatrical release date.

Nintendo has officially announced that the Super Mario Bros movie has been delayed.

On the official Twitter account of Nintendo, Mario Creator Shigeru Miyamoto was the one to break the news to the fans about the delay. He said that he consulted with “Chris-san”, who should be Producer Chris Meledandri, and decided to move the release of the movie to another date.

Miyamoto officially confirmed that the Super Mario Bros movie adaptation is now going to be on theaters next year, Spring 2023, April 28, 2023 in Japan and April 7, 2023 in North America. He apologized to the fans who were waiting for some good news, but instead got this.

Details about the upcoming movie adaptation is quite scarce, but we do know who is going to star on it. Mario is going to be voiced by popular actor Chris Patt, who has quite the stellar record like one of the main stars of Guardians of the Galaxy, Jurassic World, LEGO Movie, and also going to be the voice of Garfield in another movie.

Other stars that will join the Mushroom Kingdom cast are Anya Taylor-Joy as Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Jack Black as Bowser, and Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong. Charles Martinet, the popular voice actor of Mario, is going to be a cameo in this movie.

The plot of the movie adaptation is still nowhere to be found and no trailer, even a teaser, has been released.
