During the last article, it was mentioned that Team Ninja was well aware of the demand for more Ninja Gaiden. With director Fumihiko Yasuda hoping to “deliver good news one day.” Well it turns out that may not be on Team Ninja’s bucket list. Recently, Team Ninja’s studio head, Yosuke Hayashi, mentions that he wants a new intellectual property for the PS5.

I believe that a new console will bring new opportunities and we would like to create a new game, a new intellectual property for PlayStation 5.

Yosuke Hayashi in an interview with Eurogamer Portugal

With the head of the studio declaring that Nioh was more design for the current generation consoles. With Nioh 2 just a little more than a month away, it seems that Team Ninja might be introducing a completely new game soon.

Would you like to see a return to the Ninja Gaiden series? If so, would you still be willing to give Team Ninja’s new IP a shot?
