Ubisoft has recently announced The Division 3.
It was recently revealed in a post on Twitter that The Division 3, the third entry in The Division main series, is now in early development. The ones that are set to develop the sequel is Massive Entertainment, the ones behind the development of Star Wars Outlaws and Avatar.
The post also revealed that Julian Gerighty, who is currently the creative director of Star Wars Outlaws, has been appointed executive producer of The Division series. He will be the one to oversee The Division 3 development.
“As Executive Producer, Julian Gerighty will oversee all The Division games and products, including Tom Clancy’s The Division 3, led by Massive Entertainment who is actively building a team for the game,” Ubisoft’s statement reads on the official website.
“In his new role, Julian will drive the many interdependent production elements of The Division brand in a unified direction.
“This includes development oversight, operations, and creative vision together with the development teams around the world who are currently developing the mobile game Tom Clancy’s The Division Resurgence, Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland, and Tom Clancy’s The Division 2.”
Fans of Star Wars Outlaws will not have to worry because Gerighty will continue to work on the game until it gets completed.
Here is a statement by Gerighty: “There are only a few games that I can genuinely say blew me away the first time I saw them, and Tom Clancy’s The Division is one of them. I was immediately hooked, like so many others who are part of our devoted player community.
“It’s a privilege and an honor to be able to continue to build incredible and unforgettable experiences in this amazing world with the most talented teams around the world, and I can’t wait for what’s next.”
