This is our The Immortal God Roll submachine gun guide for Destiny 2. From all accounts, it would seem like we are experiencing the beginnings of a new king of SMGs. The Immortal SMG burst into the scene with the sudden start of Trials of Osiris this weekend and the weapon is tearing up the place left and right.

The Immortal is a 750 RPM submachine gun and it is quickly becoming a favorite within the PvP community. That is thanks to no small part to its amazing stats and equally amazing perk pool.

At its most optimal, The Immortal can outrange similar outstanding SMGs like Shayura’s Wrath and the IKELOS V3 by up to 1.5 meters in distance. And being a 750 RPM submachine gun, it’s able to have better control over sustained fire.

The Immortal Submachine gun Base Stats

The following are the weapon’s base stats before any perks have been applied.

  • Impact: 22
  • Range: 50
  • Stability: 25
  • Handling: 58
  • Reload Speed: 30
  • Aim Assistance: 39
  • Zoom: 14
  • Rounds Per Minute: 750
  • Magazine: 28

The Immortal has a lot of range for a submachine gun. This is reflected in its 14 zoom value, not many close-range weapons have that kind of zoom.

Where to Get The Immortal Submachine Gun

The only way to acquire The Immortal submachine gun is to take part in the Trials of Osiris. You don’t need to go flawless to the Lighthouse, you just need to finish matches and it should randomly drop. On select weeks, like this one, the Adept version of the submachine gun will drop.

You can also get a guaranteed Immortal SMG from Osiris by reaching rank 10 in Trials.

The Immortal God Roll

In the first column, you may want to find a roll with Hammer Forged Rifling for the extra range. Since the base range is already great, you might not go Fullbore. Ricochet Rounds in the second column for the bump in range and stability. And finally, find one with a Ranged Masterwork.

Amazingly, there are no bad perks in the third column. You can make an argument that Keep Away is a bit much. The same can be said about Focused Fury. But that’s going to depend entirely on your playstyle.

PvP God Roll

The Destiny 2 community is in agreement that Range Finder + Target Lock is the PvP god roll. It’s not the only one, however. Other possible god rolls are Range Finder + Killing Wind or the classic Encore + Kill Clip. At the very worst, you’ll get a mismatch here and there but it’s going to be tough to find a “bad” roll for PvP.

PvE God Roll

Though not primarily a PvE weapon, you can do something with the weapon’s PvE perk. If you are looking for the PvE god roll, you should look for Threat Detector + Hatching. You’ll be in close range most of the time and spawning a constant stream of threadlings is its own fun.

And that’s our The Immortal god roll guide in Destiny 2. There are so many good rolls with this SMG that it warrants having multiple copies in your possession. Good luck in your search for the perfect roll in Trials of Osiris, Guardians.
