Naughty Dog has now confirmed that The Last of Us Part 1 has now gone gold.

In a recent post by Naughty Dog on its official Twitter account, the development team has now confirmed that the game has now gone gold. This means that the game is now ready for manufacturing the physical copies, and basically the majority of the game is now completely finished. All they need to do now is make some polishing to it like bug catching, fixing very minor issues, and making sure that it will run on day one. More updates will be released post launch, but on the day one, it is made sure that the game is in working order.

Thrilled to announce The Last of Us Part I has gone gold! 🏅✨

There has been some criticism recently about the game being a remake as it has only changed its visuals. The developers insist that this game has been done with hard work and a significant amount of time, resources, and dedication have been spent to make this remake.

The Last of Us Part 1 PS5 remake will be launching on September 2, 2022 for the PS5. A PC version is in development and will be released at a later time.
