Naughty Dog has recently stated that it will be prioritizing The Last of Us Part 1 PC hotfix over compatibility with the Steam Deck.
In a recent Twitter thread started on the official Naughty Dog account, the developers reminded players that there will be a new hotfix that will go live soon. A full patch will be released on Friday as well. They also promised to share patch notes for the hotfix when it goes live and the upcoming Friday patch will have its notes ahead of launch.
The developers then noted that while everyone is excited to try out the game on Steam Deck, they are going to prioritize releasing fixes and patches first. If the game gets stable after a few fixes, then they will submit it for verification.
After a disastrous launch and the bad feedback it got from fans, the developers have now made it a priority to make fixes for The Last of Us Part 1 PC. Before they could make any plans for Steam Deck compatibility, it would make sense to make the PC port playable and with fewer bugs in it.
