Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann recently revealed that The Last of Us Part II’s Ellie will get a partner on her journeys.

Druckmann said to a popular publication that Ellie might get an NPC partner during her travels. While the NPC was not shown during the E3 2018 demo, they will be present in the game. There is still no confirmation of who that NPC will be.
Druckmann: Umm, it’s safe to say with the game that we made in the past that there will be some NPC with you in this story, even though we’re not showing [the NPC] in this demo.
The game is set to be released exclusively on the PlayStation 4. There is still no official release date or window.
