The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Limited Edition Switch OLED Release Date Leaked

A new leak has revealed the release date of the upcoming limited edition of The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Switch OLED.

Various rumors have been floating around talking about this limited edition Switch OLED in the theme of The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. It seems Nintendo plans to celebrate its biggest upcoming game sequel’s launch with a bang since many fans would want to get their hands on a copy and maybe an awesome limited edition Switch OLED too.

Late last year, there was a Pokemon Scarlet and Violet limited edition Switch OLED that got released to the public. Since Zelda is a popular franchise, it would make sense that Nintendo would release another limited edition for their latest line of Switch models.

According to the new rumor coming from YouTuber Nintendo Prime, a new SKU number from GameStop’s backend system was spotted online. It revealed that there are advance orders for a new Switch model that will open on March 10, 2023. This is probably the limited edition Switch OLED model the rumor was talking about.

This new rumor does have some holes in it. One, the date is March 10, 2023 but the release date for the game is on March 12 which is two days after. It would not be right to launch the limited edition Switch OLED before the game, Nintendo usually does not do that. Most of the time, these limited editions would launch together with the game just like the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Switch console. The date could be a placeholder and possibly GameStop has not updated its systems yet since they are currently changing the prices for the standard edition of the game after it got announced on Nintendo Direct.

Still, there has been enough noise about this new limited edition Switch OLED, so there could be truth in that.

The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom launches on March 12, 2023 exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
