Game studio Obsidian Entertainment has released a new update for popular RPG title The Outer Worlds for new-gen consoles.
Update 1.0.7 was recently uploaded for the western RPG specifically for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Several players have reported on social media that the update has boosted the game’s frame rate up to 60fps.
No official patch notes were released by the game studio. This could be in preparation for the upcoming expansion of the game called Murder on Eridanos, which will be released on March 17 for PC, PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
Players will now experience immersive and quick action with this new update for the PS5 and Xbox Series X.
Here are some details about the game and its new expansion:
About the main game via Steam:
The Outer Worlds is an award-winning single-player first-person sci-fi RPG from Obsidian Entertainment and Private Division.
Lost in transit while on a colonist ship bound for the furthest edge of the galaxy, you awake decades later only to find yourself in the midst of a deep conspiracy threatening to destroy the Halcyon colony. As you explore the furthest reaches of space and encounter various factions, all vying for power, the character you decide to become will determine how this player-driven story unfolds. In the corporate equation for the colony, you are the unplanned variable.
About Murder on Eridanos:
In Murder on Eridanos, players will still be in the front seat of the narrative, but this time they must solve who killed the renowned actress Halcyon Helen. They will be able to play anyway they like and the game will unfold the mystery before them. Obsidian Entertainment did make a lot of research first before releasing this due to the amount of content players have already gone through and how they will play this expansion.
