The Platinum run for The Outer Worlds base game is a time-consuming one. You have multiple playthroughs with at least three difficulties. Multiple skill-related trophies ranging from stealth, science, and conversation proficiencies. And there are the decision-based trophies that have a point-of-no-return.

The first thing you need to know about the game is that there is no New Game Plus. Every playthrough starts the same way, the only difference being your starter character and the skills they have. The second thing you need to know is that weapons degrade over time. Additionally, weapons degrade faster in higher difficulties. You may not want to play the game at the highest difficulty off the bat.

You can get most of the trophies on your first couple of playthroughs. You can also take this time to do your heroic storylines with the most optimistic of choices while experimenting with different weapons and skills. Really, you’re just doing fun stuff on your first playthrough, the grind and focused effort can wait until the second playthrough.

You can either do the subquests on the same playthrough or save it for the next run. They take quite a bit of time to complete and require story progression to fully unlock. The same also applies to Companion stories.

For efficiency’s sake, dedicate a full playthrough for all the evil choice trophies. These can include the Monarch Abides, Ludwig was Right, and Sunburn Bronze trophies. This can also be your Supernova difficulty run as you will unlock the Hard trophy after finishing the game.

Finally, for the base game. Make sure to not get on the bad side of some factions too early. At least not until you get all companions as part of your teams first. You lose the trophy if one of the companions hates you enough and refuses to join your party.

As for the DLC stories, you can get all the trophies by progressing through the story. There are a few trophies where you need to collect certain items or some choices. You can get through those on your first or second playthrough.

And that’s our trophy guide for The Outer Worlds Spacer’s Choice Edition. We hope this helps you out in your platinum run. And remember to have fun while exploring the different worlds.
