New details about the upcoming Tokyo Game Show 2022 have been released with official physical location setting and more.

According to the official Japanese website of Tokyo Game Show 2022 (via 4Gamer), the event will be held at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. This will be the physical location of the event as restrictions due to the pandemic have lessened recently. Still, there will be an online version of the event for audiences from around the world who could not fly to Japan to attend in person. Developers and other game industry individuals will be joining the event at Makuhari Messe while the general public can attend it at the final two days.

The organizers of the upcoming TGS2022 are calling it a hybrid event. Audiences around the world can still enjoy watching announcements online in the safety of their homes. Just like in previous events, it will still continue to host presentations on its official YouTube channel. They have also planned to make the experience more immersive, which is why they are including booths and general presentations.

Steam will also make a special event for TGS 2022 with an exclusive page. Subscribers can download game demos from the event via the dedicated Steam page.

More information about their schedules during TGS 2022 will be shared later on.

The Tokyo Game Show 2022 will be on September 15 to September 18, 2022.
