    Top 20 Hogwarts Legacy Easter Eggs

    Hogwarts Legacy is booming with easter eggs related to the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts series. All of them not only are easy to find in the game but also hold great references to many fans. In this guide, players will know the top 20 easter eggs found in the game, so read on and enjoy.

    Howlers

    Howlers - Easter Eggs - Hogwarts Legacy

    In the 2nd book of the Harry Potter series, Ron Weasely stole his parents’ car to drive to Hogwarts alongside Harry Potter. But sadly, the car was destroyed by a magical tree, and the faculty staff reported it to his parents. Out of nowhere, Ron received a Howler, a magical letter that parents write to their kids and scolds them in public.

    In the game, when exploring the school, one of the students receives a Howler and players can take pity on the kid receiving a magical scolding out of nowhere.

    The One-Eyed Witch Statue

    In Prisoner of Azkaban, Harry fails to get permission to travel to Hogsmeade. But with the help of the Weasely twins, he can access the pathway there using the One-Eyed Witch Statue. During the Dissending For Sweets Quest, players can find along their way in the game as it can be found next to the Grand Staircase where the Faculty Tower Floo Flame is.

    The Chamber of Secrets

    The 2nd book of the Harry Potter series featured an unlikely location for Harry and his friends to explore. In Hogwarts Legacy, players will find the entrance of it in the Slytherin Restrooms as it is one of the locations in the game where to find the Field Guide Pages.

    Hagrid’s Hut

    Harry and his friends always find the time to visit Hagrid in his hut to seek warmth, protection, and advice from him. In Hogwarts Legacy, players can visit his hut outside of the school grounds and experience the same feelings Harry and his felt upon visiting these grounds.

    Polyjuice Potion

    The Polyjuice Potion was a potion that allowed the drinker to assume the form of someone else. It was a highly complicated, challenging, and time-consuming potion and was so complicated that even adult witches and wizards struggled to brew it correctly. In the game, players can find the setup where Hermoine made the potion in the Girl’s bathroom near Professor Fig’s classroom.

    Goblet of Fire Casket

    The Tri-Wizard Tournament was announced in the 4th Book of the Harry Potter series. In order to participate in this tourney, candidates must write their names on a piece of paper and place it inside the casket. As one of the field guide pages to be found, players can find the casket within the central Trophy Room just past the Floo Flame at the top of the Grand Staircase.

    Owl Lectern

    When you are the headmaster of Hogwarts, you must give a grand speech at the Great Hall. If players have read and watched both the Potter and Fantastic Beasts series, this podium is known for the grand speeches of Dumbledoore and in Hogwarts Legacy, many cutscenes involving the podium can be found.

    The Fat Lady

    The portraits of Hogwarts literally come to life. Each of them is a painting made of certain individuals, namely witches, and wizards. But among them is the Fat Lady. She is one of the most entertaining easter eggs that players will encounter in the game and if you are a Harry Potter fan, players will know giving her the correct password will open the Gryffindor Tower.

    Finding the Fantastic Beasts

    At the beginning of the game, players will notice somewhat familiar beings on the rocks on the right side of the ruins. If you know the Fantastic Beasts, these beings are mostly creatures that Newt took care of.

    Elder Wand From The Deathly Hallows

    The Deathly Hallows is a mythical tale told in the Wizardly world and will be featured once more in Hogwarts Legacy. During a mission later in the game, you’ll be asked to take part in the third Keeper trial, a series of magical tests designed to determine if you can harness the power of ancient magic. During that mission, you will encounter a familiar wand known as the Elder Wand. Sadly, this wand can only be used during the mission and not outside.

    Nearly Headless Nick

    The most recognizable ghost in Harry Potter is Nearly Headless Nick, the Gryffindor House Ghost. Voiced and played by the original actor, his ghostly presence will be important in finding the Missing Pages.

    Battle Of Hogwarts

    During the battle against Voldemort and his dark forces in the Deathly Hallows Part 2, the professors of Hogwarts set up defenses to ensure the safety of everyone. One of them is the Pensieve Sentries. At the opening of Hogwarts Legacy, players will be able to see a similar cutscene that is iconic to the movie as well.

    Christmas At Hogwarts

    During the Christmas season, Hogwarts will change the festive Great Hall to celebrate this holiday. Decorating the whole place with festive decors and lighting is similar to what fans will see in Harry’s first Christmas experience in Hogwarts.

    The Unforgivable Curses

    The Unforgivable Curses were three of the most powerful and sinister spells known to the wizarding world, as well as the strongest known Dark spells in existence. In the Harry Potter series, these curses were used mostly by the Deatheaters and have caused much mayhem and destruction. Players will be able to learn these curses in the game as not only are they strong but they prove to be one of the hardest challenges to learn as well.

    Giant Squid

    Slytherins would be familiar with the Giant Squid that lives in the lake by their very windows, but players will be able to sight them during Flying Class. Another place to find it is located in the Slytherin Common Room where if you shoot a spell at the windows you will see a giant squid tentacle hit the window.

    Prefect’s Bathroom

    After completing the 1st challenge of the Triwizard Tournament, Harry used the Prefect’s bathroom to discover the answer to the golden egg. In Hogwarts Legacy, players can visit the bathroom at the Faculty Tower.

    Azkaban

    Azkaban, which is the wizarding prison in which prominent Harry Potter characters like Sirius Black and Bellatrix Lestrange did time, is one of many iconic locations from around the wizarding world you’ll get to visit in Hogwarts Legacy. However, only those who have chosen Hufflepuff as their Hogwarts House can access this location.

    Mandrakes

    Mandrakes  - Easter Eggs - Hogwarts Legacy

    Mandrake, or Mandragora, is a powerful restorative. It is used to return people who have been transfigured or cursed to their original state. However, when pulled from the ground, the scream of a mature Mandrake when it was unearthed would kill any person who hears it, but a young Mandrake’s screams would usually only knock a person out for several hours. 

    In the game, mandrakes can be grown in the Room of Requirement, so you can always have one ready when you need them.

    Peeves

    Peeves  - Easter Eggs - Hogwarts Legacy

    Though he was not shown in any of the movies, Peeves is the poltergeist everyone knew in the books and he is making a big comeback in Hogwarts Legacy. In certain parts of the game, Peeves will be seen causing chaos around the castle, so keep an eye out!

    The Phoenix Feathers

    Phoenix feathers were a powerful magical substance and, as such, were an accepted wand core. If you are a Harry Potter fan, these feathers are used for making the wands made for Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort. In the game, the phoenix is one of the 13 creates that can be caught and can be obtained by completing the Foal of the Dead side quest as part of Deek’s questline, and the main quest Niamh Fitgerald’s Trial, as well as reaching level 20.
