Publisher Devolver Digital has recently announced that their upcoming Western themed game, Weird West, is going to be delayed further into next year. The new release date is now March 31st, 2022.

The announcement of the delay came with it a message from creative director, Raphael Colantonio. In the attached video, he explained why the game needed to be delayed.

Weird West is incredible (according to beta testers) but needs some wonky moments ironed out (also according to beta testers)!@WolfEyeGames have made something special and we want you all to have the best experience at launch.

“… and, as we are playing our own game, on one hand we realize that the game is really great, and on the other hand, we realize it’s not quite ready yet.” says Raphael Colantonio, Creative Director, WolfEye Studio.

Conlantonio continues by saying that the game is being tested in a private beta and that the participants are having a blast. However, the team also realized that they needed to iron out a few stuff, because they are committed to delivering the best experience.

For this reason the game is pushed back to March 31st.

Weird West is set to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (via Steam).
