World of Warcraft Classic Burning Crusade Officially Announced

Game company Blizzard has made it official: World of Warcraft Classic is getting the Burning Crusade.

The Burning Crusade Classic will offer players an adventure where they can explore beyond the Dark Portal into the apocalyptic Outlands just like in the originals way back in 2007. WoW Classic players can now level up to 70 with that cap removed. They can explore areas like Hellfire Peninsula and Zangarmarsh. There will be more content to try out as well.

The servers for this Classic expansion will behave just like the original one by offering new raids and dungeons over time. It is part of the normal subscription service for WoW. Players can opt to stay in the Classic servers or dive into the Burning Crusade to progress more. Staying on the vanilla version will let them stay at level 60.

No specific details yet on when World of Warcraft Classic Burning Crusade will launch, but it will be later this year.
