According to a new report, WWE 2K23 has a hidden version of John Cena and was found via datamine, but there is one little hiccup.
WWE 2K23 is now available to play via the early access phase for players who pre-ordered the game. It will be available for full purchase tomorrow, but some dataminers have already found some interesting information in the game that seems to have been locked out.
The dataminers focused on the game’s MyFaction mode, which allows players to create their own roster of WWE superstars. This will include exclusive costumes that will not be available in other modes, which is why the dataminers are quite busy looking for some hidden content behind the ones being locked away. This yielded quite an interesting haul: a hidden version of John Cena.
According to the dataminers, there is a character called Action Figure John Cena in MyFaction mode. It looks like a Mattel WWE action figure version of the popular wrestler and superstar.
This character looks like to be made of plastic just like an action figure and has a static expression on his face. It also has the articulated joints that action figures have.
There is no word yet on how this particular version of John Cena can be unlocked. The one thing the dataminers know is that it is exclusive to the MyFaction mode only.
There are Locker Codes that will be released at a later time and it could unlock characters that way in MyFaction mode, so that could be the method. Others speculate that players will need to buy a physical Mattel WWE John Cena Action Figure which will include a Locker Code of the character that can be redeemed in the game.
WWE 2K23 launches on March 17, 2023 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
