Xbox came out swinging for the start of gamescom 2025, using the Opening Night Live stage to showcase a powerful lineup of upcoming titles from its global studios. The presentation featured major announcements from Activision, Blizzard, and Xbox Game Studios, setting a high bar for the week-long event.

The show opened with a massive reveal for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. The first look at the next installment from Treyarch detailed its co-op campaign, a significant feature for the series, and provided teasers for its highly anticipated Multiplayer and Zombies modes.

Blizzard Entertainment also made its presence felt, unveiling a stunning new cinematic trailer for World of Warcraft: Midnight, the next chapter in the ongoing Worldsoul Saga. The trailer sets the stage for the expansion, which promises to be a pivotal moment for the long-running MMO.

Fans were also treated to a fresh look at Obsidian Entertainment’s The Outer Worlds 2, which showcased new gameplay from the highly anticipated sci-fi RPG sequel. Another major title, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, received a new gameplay trailer for its first DLC, “The Order of Giants.”

The showcase included several other key announcements:

    Ninja Gaiden 4

A new gameplay trailer for the next entry in the legendary action series was revealed.

    Age of Empires IV

A new expansion, “Dynasties of the East,” was announced for the Anniversary Edition of the strategy title, alongside its release on PS5.

    Fallout

Following the success of the TV series, a teaser for Season 2 was shown, continuing the collaboration between Bethesda and Amazon.

We’re pretty excited about what Xbox has in store!
