Xbox May System Update Introduces New Features and Fixes

Update includes new sort and filter options, ability to see gamertags, and more.

Microsoft will be rolling out the Xbox May System Update this week and it will introduce various new features for the Xbox consoles including the new sort and filter options.

According to the latest Xbox Wire post, the latest Xbox update will introduce the ability for players to view Xbox gamertags of their Discord friends. This will be available if they are connected to the Discord Voice from their Xbox consoles. It will make it easier to add each other as Xbox friends and send each other game invites.

The update adds new sort and filter options on the pages that users can browse on the Xbox’s website and on consoles. This will now make it easier to look for games based on the supported languages, accessibility features, and price.

For the Xbox Wireless Controller, the new firmware update will include bug fixes for slow battery drain in controllers with internal batteries. These controllers include Xbox Elite Series 2 and Xbox Adaptive controllers.

There is also a new bug fix for controllers that disconnect in games when using headphones with 4K, 120Hz, and variable refresh rate enabled.
